I recently reviewed Erika Sheffer’s Russian Transport, having its premiere with the New Group (through March 24). I didn’t find it all that transporting.

Another amazing Shakespeare production in the Public Theater’s Public Lab series, Titus Andronicus (through December 18). Jay O. Sanders (at left), as the titular Roman general, is phenomenal.

I recently reviewed Jordan Harrison’s Maple and Vine, having its premiere at Playwrights Horizons (through December 23). The first act is mostly not-great exposition, but after intermission it’s very interesting, and the set designs are endlessly entertaining.

I recently reviewed Happy Hour (through December 31), three more one-acts by Ethan Coen premiering with the Atlantic Theater Company. The middle one, City Lights (pictured), is good, but the other two are quite flimsy.

The New Group is premiering Thomas Bradshaw’s new play, Burning, at the Acorn Theater (through December 17). I didn’t find it all that shocking, but there’s plenty here to offend.

The Public Theater’s production of Love’s Labor’s Lost (through November 6) is really, really good. Nick Westrate is amazing.

Last but not least, I also reviewed the new Jesse Eisenberg comedy Asuncion, being produced by Rattlestick Playwrights Theater at the Cherry Lane Theatre (through November 27). It’s very funny (and that’s sort of it), and stars Eisenberg and Justin Bartha.
