This enormous installation, “Untitled” (2010, first shown at that year’s Venice Biennale), is one of many highlights from MoMA’s outstanding Cindy Sherman retrospective (through June 11).
The centerpiece of Sanja Iveković’s retrospective at MoMA, Sweet Violence (through March 26) is her monument “Lady Rosa of Luxembourg” (2001).
So much incredible work in MoMA’s new 200 pieces-strong survey of Willem de Kooning, de Kooning: A Retrospective, which opens September 18 and continues through January 9. Guaranteed to be the blockbluster of the fall museum season.
The Brazilian installation artist and sculptor Carlito Carvalhosa’s incredible “Sum of Days” recently opened in the main atrium of the Museum of Modern Art (through November 14), and though the Times’ Ken Johnson wasn’t into it, I definitely was.
