Saturday on what, unbeknownst to me, was something called City of Water Day, I finally took the Staten Island Ferry with some visiting friends and on the way back spotted this Lawrence Weiner piece, “AT THE SAME MOMENT” (2009), on a pier by the Governors Island ferry terminal—I’ve been seeing photos of it for a couple years now, but this was the first time I’d seen it in person.
